My Favourite Products

These are a few of my favourite products. I have been using some of them for many years and can’t imagine my life without them because they help me to feel healthy and energized. 
They are all a plant of some form, either juiced and powdered down or put into a tablet. I love using superfoods, medicinal herbs, and medicinal mushrooms as supplements because they are so full of life giving nutrients. I feel that the food we’re eating nowadays has much less nutrients in than they used to due to poor farming methods, so to add these in we will get maximum health benefits. 

Spirulina

Spirulina tablets or powder is one of the purest, most potent complete plant proteins available to us. It’s benefits range from maintaining health to preventing disease because it has an abundance of nutrients and antioxidants. These nutrients include iron, vitamin B complex and magnesium. Spirulina is incredible for helping your body detox and remove heavy metals, as well as boosting our immune system. This is a product that is part of my daily routine and has been for a number of years, it is my ‘multi vitamin’. Add the powder to smoothies or mix with water in a shaker bottle and drink or take the tablets if you don’t like the flavour. 

Chia Seeds

Chia seeds are incredible for digestive health. Their soluble fibre rich gel soothes and cleanses the digestive system. They are rich in Omega 3 making it a powerful anti-inflammatory and good for brain health. Chia seeds are rich in fats, protein and fibre making it helpful for athletes to increase endurance and fitness. 
Add liquid to Chia first to enable it to soak it up rather than soaking up liquids in your stomach, potentially causing stomach ache. Mix it with a smoothie to make a thick smoothie bowl. If you do not like their texture grind the dry seeds in a coffee grinder to make them smooth, they will still have the same effect. 

Moringa Powder

Moringa Powder; also known as the ‘Miracle Tree’, ‘Miracle Moringa’, ‘The Vitamin Tree’, ‘The Never Die Tree’ and ‘The Tree of Life’ due to it being one of the most nutrient dense plants on earth. It is a complete protein making it perfect for anyone worried they are not getting adequate protein in their diet. Moringa is high in Iron helping prevent anemia, high in vitamin C which boosts our immune system, calcium which helps with strong teeth and bones, and beta carotene which is good for our skin and eye health. It is shown to have anti-cancer properties. Tests have shown that it can lower blood sugar levels making it great for anyone with diabetes and hyperglycemia. 
Mix with your smoothie or orange juice as it does have quite a bitter taste.

Chaga Powder

Chaga is referred to as the ‘King of the Medicinal Mushroom’ due to its anti cancer compounds. It is very high in antioxidants and so is a powerful immune booster. It is loaded with vitamins and minerals and contains potent anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-parasite properties. It is known to help with anti aging and longevity. Add this powder to your smoothies, mix with hot water and your choice of tea bag and sweetener for a grounding, potent, healing tea tonic.  

Hemp Seeds

Hemp seeds have been considered a complete food source over thousands of years and through many cultures. It is high in protein, containing all essential amino acids that our bodies cannot produce. It has the perfect balance of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, making it an effective anti-inflammatory as well as helping to balance hormones. These fats also help reduce inflammation and are good for heart health. 
You can sprinkle over fruit and green salads, add to smoothies, make hemp seed milk and add to date balls for extra nutrition. 

Camu Camu Berry Powder

Camu Camu berries contain more Vitamin C than any plant. Due to the high amount of Vitamin C it makes it a powerful immune booster and protects against viruses. It helps reduce inflammation which can help ease the pain of arthritis. Camu Camu is an excellent source of GABA which helps as a natural antidepressant. It is high in beta-carotenes and carotenoids which makes it good for skin and eye health. 
Add it to smoothies or mix with warm water, lemon and honey for a cleansing and immune boosting drink. 

Barley Grass Juice Powder

Barley Grass Juice powder is one of the most nutrient rich foods in nature. It has a variety of vitamins and minerals required by our bodies which keeps us strong and healthy. It has all 8 of the essential amino acids that our bodies cannot produce. It strengthens the immune system and is very alkalizing which helps with illness and disease. This is a product that is part of my daily routine and has been for a number of years, if I feel slightly anxious or on a buzz from chocolates I have barley grass. 
I like this product because the grass has been juiced and then powdered, making it more nutritionally potent.
Mix a teaspoon or powder with water or take the capsules as directed on the bottle. 

Garden Trio: Barley Grass, Beetroot and Carrot Juice Powders

This garden trio is a great place to start adding in minerals into your life. If you don’t have a juicer you can mix these three together and drink daily. The barley grass is one of the most nutrient rich foods in nature. Beetroots and beetroot juice powder help increase blood flow, lower blood pressure, and increase exercise performance due to better oxygenation of the blood. Carrots are loaded with antioxidants improving overall health as well as being beneficial for the eyes and the skin. 

Zeolite Powder

In my opinion everyone should have this product in their medicine cabinet. 
Zeolites help ease digestive discomfort, bloating, IBS, acute diarrhoea, headaches and the effects of a hangover. 
They are perfect when going on a cleanse as they speed up the process of removing toxins from our bodies.
You can also put it on your face for a cleansing face mask.
