What is a Health Coach?
With each passing year more and more people are getting sick. There are over 30 million preventable health related deaths each year. Alarmingly this number is increasing with the younger generation too.
Health coaches are trained in over 100 dietary theories and wellness philosophies. They know that relationships, career, physical exercise and spirituality are as important to health as what you eat. Like a mentor they guide and support you to make healthy lifestyle choices. They offer support to help with your healing journey.
As a health coach, and someone who has experienced my own healing journey, I will support you on yours.
What does a Health Coach do?
Health coaches work with you to improve your health and wellness and prevent illness. They educate and support you to reach your health and wellness goals through nutrition and lifestyle changes. They see your life as a whole and will offer guidance with each area you require help with.
Each person is unique and a health coach will work with you for your own specific requirements.
Health coaches work side by side with you each step of the way on your journey to health. They help you build confidence and belief in your abilities.
Doctors are extremely busy and do not have much time to educate people on healthy lifestyle choices – health coaches can bridge the gap between illness and wellness. Health coaches compliment the work of doctors, dietitians, chiropractors, personal trainers and other practitioners with their holistic lifestyle approach.
Education and Training
I qualified as a Holistic Health Coach at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, one of the largest nutrition schools in New York City. I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. No one diet fits all and every person is in a different situation in their lives. This means you’ll require different methods of support.
My education also covered how to help individuals balance other important areas of their life such as: relationships, career, stress management, exercise, spirituality and relationships.

I practice a holistic approach to wellness. Having studied nutrition and life coaching I will work with you on all areas of your life as needed.
I work with clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is not about deprivation or punishment but is flexible and fun.
As your health and wellness coach, I will listen carefully and help you to navigate the confusing world of contradictory nutrition advice. We will determine what changes are necessary for you and create a plan to reach your goals.
Health is not about a quick fix diet but a lifestyle that needs to be adopted for life.
